Creekside is a 1,500-sq-ft off-grid cabin built in the 1950s. The cabin runs on propane for all cooking, heating, lighting, etc. Creekside has AC Power when the generator is on and no AC Power when the generator is off. So if you need power, press the button to start the generator.
Creekside has a fully functional kitchen with pots, pans, plates, etc. The bathroom has a shower. The three bedrooms are stocked with all the bed linens and pillows. Please bring your own toiletries, towels, food, ice, and bug spray.
Yes, Creekside has running water. The water is non-potable, so we don't recommend drinking from the faucet. The spring water is good for washing dishes and similar tasks. Creekside has a water dispenser for unlimited clean, fresh drinking water inside and at the outdoor kitchen.
Creekside has three bedrooms with Queen-size beds. Two bedrooms have locking doors; the third bedroom is an upstairs loft with a privacy panel.
Creekside can sleep three couples in the queen-size beds, plus a double trundle bed; we also have two nice rollaway beds, for a total of 10 people sleeping in beds.
Creekside sits on one half acre of private property with only one other cabin next door. The neighbors are rarely at their cabin, making a stay at Creekside feel like you are all by yourself in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
Creekside Bethel got its name because it is located between two creeks that run through the property. It is also located a short walk from the famous Dinkey Creek.
Bethel is a Biblical name for "Meeting Place with God." Our family sees Creekside as a vacation spot and a spiritual retreat.
Creekside has a Propane BBQ, a Blackstone grill, an outdoor kitchen with running water, and a four-burner stove; there is a 50-gal smoker drum; we provide a 10' Redwood picnic table, an outdoor bathroom, and an outdoor shower. There are beautiful new TimberTech decks all the way around the cabin; the front porch has a Polywood table and four chairs. There is a huge fire pit out back with an unlimited supply of wood. Bring your own chairs and hammocks.
Yes, just out the back door, you can put your lawn chairs into Exchequer Creek and cool off, or you can walk or drive to Dinkey Creek, which is less than one mile, and take a dip, or you can choose from one of four beautiful mountain lakes within minutes.
Creekside is centrally located to many amazing attractions; here are just a few. Visit the historic Dinkey Creek Store. Wishon Lake sits at 6600ft, just 25 minutes away; Coutright Lake sits at 8800ft elevation, just 40 minutes away; Shaver Lake town is 20 minutes away, and Shaver Lake is 30 minutes away. Huntington Lake is 45 minutes away. McKinley Grove features huge sequoia redwood trees just 10 minutes away. There are hiking trails everywhere. There are motorsports roads everywhere!
In the Sierra Nevada mountains, your cell phone generally won't work, so no texting or phone service.
At Creekside, we have a landline, and when the generator is on, we have Wi-Fi and internet access.
The Creekside Bethel rental costs $325 per night with a two-night minimum.
There is a $150 refundable cleaning deposit.
The during-the-week rate for Monday-Friday, four nights, is $ 1,200.
The weekly rate for seven days, Monday-Sunday, is $ 1,600.
The arrival time is 1:00 PM, and the departure time is noon.
