Creekside is a 1500 sqft floorplan off gird cabin built in the 1950s. The cabin runs on propane for all cooking, heating, lighting, etc. Creekside has AC Power when the generator is on and no AC Power when gererator is off. So need power just push the button to turn on the generator.
Creekside has a fully functional kitchen with pots pans, plates etc. The bathroom has a shower. The three bedrooms are stocked with all the bed linens, pillows. Please bring your own toiletries towels, food, ice, etc.
Yes Creekside has running water that is non pottable that means we dont reccommend you drink from the faucet but the spring water is good for cooking, washing dishes, etc. Creekside has a water dispenser for unlimited clean fresh drinking water.
Creekside has three bedrooms with Queen size beds, two bedrooms have locking doors the third bedroom upstairs has a privacy panel.
Creekside can sleep three couples in the queen size beds and there is a double trundel bed plus we have two nice rollaway beds for a total number of people to sleep of 10 people in beds.
Creekside sits on one half acre of private property with only one other cabin next door which sits on one half acre. The nieghbors are almost never at thier cabin making a stay at Creekside feel like you are all by yourself in the Sierra Mountians.
Creekside is 200 yards off Mc Kinley Grove rd setting the cabin back in its own piece of heaven.
Creekside Bethel got its name becuase it is located between two creeks that run through the property. It is also located a short walking distance to the famous Dinkey Creek.
Bethel is a biblical name for "Meeting Place with God". Our family sees Creekside as a vacation place and a spiritual retreat place.
Yes we except animals but be aware you are in the forrest and there are bears, cyotees, and cougars that could smell your animals so, Do Not leave your animals alone outside. We have never had a problem and rarelly see any mountain animals, but have heard the neighbor lost a small dog when it wasnt watched.
Creekside has a Propane BBQ, Blackstone grill, Outside kitchen with running water and four burner stove, 50 gal smoker drum, 10' Redwood picnic table, Outdoor bathroom, beautiful new decks all the way around the cabin, front paorch has polywood sitting table and chairs for four people. Huge firepit with unlimited wood. Bring your own chairs and hammocks.
Yes just out the back door you can put your lawn chairs into Exchecquer creek and cool off or you can walk or drive to Dinkey Creek lees than one mile and take a dip, Or you can chose form one of four beautiful mountian lakes with in minutes.
Creekside is centraly located to so many amazing attractions here are just a few. Wishon Lake sits at 6600ft just 25 minutes away, Coutright Lake sits at 8800ft elvation just 40 minutes away, Shaver town is 20 minutes away and Shaver Lake is 30 minutes away. Huntington Lake is 45 minutes away. Mc Kinley Grove is a park just 10 minutes away that host the giant sequoia trees. There is hiking trails everwhere, motorsports roads everywhere most off roads needs and plated vehicle.
Take hwy 168 East toward Sahver Lake. Just before entering Shaver town make the a Right hand turn on to Dinkey Creek road. Stay on Dinkey Creek road until you see Wishon Lake turn. Turn Right onto Mc Kinley Grove rd. cross the Dinkey Creek bridge and in .9 miles look to make a left hand turn into Creekside drive way look for the green gate. Go back 200 yards on durt road and enter Creekside parking lot.
Note: if you miss the right hand Mc Kinley grove rd turn you will dead end into Dinkey Creek store just one mile away.
In the Sierra Nevada mountians your cell phones will not generally work so no texting or phone service.
At Creekside we have a telephone land line and when the generator is on we have wifi and internet availible on a limited level.
